As October approaches, more details about the new flagship mobile processors set to be unveiled continue to emerge. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400, which will be used in flagship devices for at least a year, are expected to be introduced in the coming weeks. According to new leaks, the new processors will be more expensive than their predecessors. Here are the details…
What Will Be the Prices of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400?
Recent reports by Digital Chat Station have provided more insights into the anticipated flagship processors from Qualcomm and MediaTek. The processors, which will power devices like the vivo X200 and Xiaomi 15, are reportedly going to be pricier than expected.
Due to inflation worldwide, mobile processors are also seeing price increases. This price hike is attributed to TSMC’s expensive N3E manufacturing process, which will be used to produce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400.
According to claims, these processors will be approximately 20% more expensive than their previous versions. The Dimensity 9400 is expected to have a price tag of $155, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 could be sold for around $190. Last year’s Dimensity 9300 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 were priced at $124 and $152, respectively.
This price increase is also expected to reflect on the smartphones and tablets that will be launched, leading to an anticipated rise in prices for at least the Xiaomi 15 and vivo X200 series. It was recently revealed that the Xiaomi 15 is set to be unveiled on October 13, and its Ultra model will be launched globally. Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 series is also expected to arrive in our country.
